Coventry Rugby are pleased to announce 2 more additions to their squad for this season. Centre Steve Johns comes in from Plymouth Albion, whilst loose head prop Danny Hobbs-Owoyemi  signs in on a dual registered loan from Northampton Academy.

Steve Johns aged 24 and born in Barnstable, Devon, comes in after a spell at Mounts Bay and for the last two seasons at Championship side Plymouth Albion. In season 2010/11 he made 16 appearances for Plymouth Albion scoring 3 tries, and last season in 10 appearances scored 2 tries.

Having now completed his degree in Plymouth, Steve has moved to a new position at Solihull and looks forward to helping Coventry Rugby in their aspirations, and meeting up at Coventry with two of his former Plymouth team mates Rob Dugard and Davy McGregor. 

A tall strong hard tackling centre although able to play at wing, Steve has a hard running direct style which should complement Coventry’s style of play.

Danny Hobbs-Owoyemi, aged 18 was born in Northampton and is in his first year with Northampton Saints Academy. A loose head prop Danny has also played for Northampton Casuals and Wellingborough. Looking to get some game time, Danny who has signed for Coventry Rugby on a dual registered loan, feels that National league 1 is an excellent entrance to senior rugby.

danny is an England U18 cap and has been training with saints junior academy for 3 years now, latterly with the bunch of young props under Nobby West's wing.

he's about 18 stone ,very fit and one hell of a ball carrier with a ridiculous burst of speed .hope he does well for you . he should be a weapon and is very much one of the top academy forwards.
