Coventry Rugby confirm the signings of 3 more backs to bolster their squad to 19 , for the coming ND1 season. Further squad announcements are expected next week. Jeff Gregson winger Rugby Lions Steve Clarke centre/fullback Earlsdon/Rugby Lions Lee Audis scrum half Westcombe Park
Jeff Gregson aged 21 comes from Rugby Lions ,after his first season there scored 14 tries in 18 starts. A local player who attended Woodlands School and Hartbury College. Also played for Barkers Butts from U14 level. He is a fast counter attacking winger, especially from broken play. Jeff has supported Coventry from their Coundon Road days and looks to help them get back into the Championship. He been most impressed with the professional help and training on offer.
Steve Clarke aged 25 comes from Earlsdon after 3 years at Rugby Lions, a serious knee injury last year saw him back at Earlsdon to recover. Now back to fitness he wishes to help out his home team club. Steve is either a centre or fullback. Steve attended Cardinal Newman School and has represented Coventry Schools, Warwickshire U20, Midlands U20, and Warwickshire. He has been most impressed with the intensity of training and looks forward to helping progress again on the field.
Lee Audis aged 21 joins from Westcombe Park after being at Bath Academy, where he knew Rob Dugard and Jamie Miller. Lee is a prodigiously long goal kicking scrum half. Last season he scored 200 points including 3 drop goals. Has a fast tap and go style looking to move the ball quickly. After University Lee is looking to become a PE teacher. He is well aware of the history of Coventry and looks forward to helping in the rebuilding.

. there lots of other things as well that are in his CV but time and space prevent me listing, it would become a lengthy tome!! One thing I would like to say about all of these young men, having first hand experence shall we say, is the effort that they will ALL be putting into training and fitness levels will be second to none. As I said I know what is going i see it every day, and I have no doubt that they are all the same. We all need to get behind them,There are some outstanding players in the team already and many of them are quite capable of standing up in the championship,and that includes many of the new squad members make no mistake. I for one cant wait for the season to begin....regards....Runout
