JUST days after seeing their three-game winning streak snapped at London Scottish, Nick Southern has called on Coventry to start building another unbeaten sequence.The Blue and Whites skipper has identified the next month as crucial to the direction of his side’s campaign, with home matches with Rosslyn Park and Otley and trips to Redruth and Stourbridge offering them the chance to gain some momentum.

They can start doing that by beating Park at home on Saturday, a result that would not only get them rolling again but also lift them above the experienced Londoners in the National One table.

But the 28-year-old wants Cov to extend their horizons and finish 2010 on a high.

Southern said: “We are more than capable of climbing into the top half of the table. We have already got three in a row and we need to have four or five in a row now – that’s that we are striving to achieve.”

But it won’t be easy against Rosslyn who having won five and lost seven have an almost identical record as Cov.

And with veterans Ross Laidlaw and Ben Gotting in their ranks, as well as former Cov centre Chris Lewis, Southern knows the Butts Park outfit will have to work hard.
