Coventry Rugby are pleased to announce that , weather permitting , Coventry Nighthawks have arranged a fixture against Northampton Saints Development Squad, here at BPA on Wednesday 29th December kick off  7.30 pm.  Admission will be £5 for adults, and £2 for concessions and season ticket holders. Under 16’s go free.

This Nighthawks game will provide valuable game time for the entire squad leading up to Coventry’s next league fixture against Sedgley Park, following the recent poor weather and spate of league cancellations.

This fixture will also provide the opportunity to promote a number of guest players from a host of leading clubs, along with game time for players who are out on loan gaining national league experience at local clubs.

A host of clubs of have been contacted and the following guest players have been invited into the Coventry Nighthawks squad for this exciting fixture against Northampton Saints Development Squad: Liam Munro (back row-Rugby Lions RFC current captain and Warwickshire County senior squad), Jack Gair (2^nd row- Pinley RFC ), James Gair- (2^nd row-Pinley RFC ), Paul Wilkes (hooker/prop-Pinley RFC, British Colleges U19 Midlands Squad ), Grant Hancox (scrum half- Hartpury College, Warwickshire U20), Richard Smith (winger- Broad street RFC, British Colleges U19 England squad, Warwickshire U20).

There are more guest players expected to be confirmed, names of which will appear on the website.

Have just spoken with Eric, the Nighthawks game this evening WEDNESDAY is OFF.
They will be having another inspection Thursday to see whether or not the ground is playable for the game to go ahead Thursday evening.

Tonight's game between Coventry Nighthawks and Northampton Development Squad has been postponed due the BPA pitch not yet being playable.

It is hoped to re-arrange the fixture for tomorrow night Thursday30th December at 7.30 pm.

A further pitch inspection will take place Thursday morning.

A new Nighthawks squad player has been invited- Jack Green-flyhalf who plays for Old Northamptonians and ia a member of the Warwickshire senior squad.

Flyhalf for Old Northamptonians is Alex Rose, i believe Jack Green plays for Northampton Old Scouts in Midlands 2.
