Coventry signed off their National League One campaign with an outstanding victory over second-placed Rosslyn Park in a remarkable game at Roehampton.
Cov had their four-try bonus point wrapped up in 32 minutes as, scoring 26 points in just 18 minutes, they raced into a 37-12 lead by the break with some scintillating rugby.
But they were hanging on for much of the second half as Park roared back to go in front at 45-40 before a late Will Hurrell try and five points from the boot of Matt Jones steered the visitors through.
Jones kicked a third-minute penalty for Cov, but Park posted a swift reply with a Kiba Richards try and Scott Sneddon conversion.
Cov regained the lead on 13 minutes, a Wayne Evans chip bouncing kindly for Dan Rundle to gather and race away to the posts, Jones converting, Scott Hamilton claimed Cov's third try after 20 minutes from a well-judged crossfield kick by Jones, who again converted, and six minutes later Cov's scrum shunted Park over the line for Danny Wright to touch down another converted try.
