Kiwi lock Courtney Roberts joins Coventry Rugby.

Coventry Rugby are delighted to confirm their fifth new signing for the coming season as New Zealand lock-forward Courtney Roberts, who has joined them for the start of the new season.

Courtney, aged 25 standing at 6ft 7ins is an Aucklander, a British passport holder. Last season Courtney was the PGG Wrightson Premier Club Player of the year 2014, and is a member of the Counties Manukau ITM development squad. He is also vice-captain of Onewhero Premiers, and a member of the Counties Manukau Cavaliers, as well as being in the Ranfurly Shield squad for Counties Manukau.

Courtney is delighted to help Coventry Rugby in their quest for promotion, as he brings his towering presence to the powerhouse of the home pack.

Coventry Rugby will shortly be making announcements regarding further signings once the necessary paperwork has been completed.

That is 4 excellent players competing for 2 places. This is great competition, but does this signal the end of Scott's career?

No disrespect at all to the players who played for Cov at lock last season, but only Tom was able to put in a full quality season.
Roan didn't look anything like as good after returning from injury, Danny wants to play in the back row, yes, Scott is not a youngster. Hardly the end of his career, just a continuation of ha move to coaching.
