Blues are up to third thanks to a determined derby victory at Ampthill. The 31-22 win was important and the bonus point five tries the perfect present.

It leaves Blues just one point behind second place Doncaster. All five Blues tries coming from spearate players namerly Messrs French, Elliott, Grimoldby, Pollock, and Howard

Ampthill had one massive spell of prressure in the first half which was only relieved when they were finally penalised.  It was 12-12 at the break with Blues ruthless in taking their chances in the second.
