Credit to Ampthill for tremendous defence as Blues did everything but score the winning try in the big local derby.

The visitors had a game plan which kept them in the lead all game taking the game 29-24.

Blues did score some excellent tries - earning a try bonus point to go along with the losing bonus. Dean Adamson  crossed twice to notch up his 100th score with Messrs Worley and French getting the others.

However, it is the scores which Blues left on the pitch which will be exercising Mike Rayer and his coaches this week ahead of the trip to second placed Coventtry on Saturday
