Boxing Day Sell-Out

Alafoti Faosiliva Starts

Goldington Road is sold out for the big local derby with local rivals Ampthill on Boxing Day kick off 3.00  - can there be a better time to kickstart our season?

Alafoti Faosiliva will be starting the game as one of three changes to the Blues side which went down 17-14 at Ampthill in the Championship Cup.

That game was a dead rubber as far as we were concerned - Boxing Day is the real deal.

The other two changes see Rich Lane and Dean Adamson start as we look to overhaul our visitors. We are second bottom on 8 points with Ampthill just one place above on 12 points.

Blues: 15 Rich Lane, 14 Pat Tapley, 13 Matt Worley, 12 Oskar Hirskyj-Douglas, 11 Dean Adamson, 10 Will Hooley, 9 James Lennon, 1 Seam McCarthy (captain), 2 Robbie Smith, 3, Henry Paul, 4 Jordan Onojaife, 5 Will Carrick-Smith, 6 Dan Temm, 7 Joe Atkinson 8 Alafoti Faosiliva.

Reps: Jacob Fields, Joe Warfter, Alex Penny, Ed Taylor, Huw Worthington,  Grayson Hart, Sam Leeming, Ryan Hutler.

Rich Lane, Dean Adamson, Alex Penny and Sam Leeming in the 23, imagine that. For the first time in a long time Mike is picking from almost the entire squad. Hoorah.

Is the game being streamed by RFU or does Bedford have live stream on Facebook Page like the Cornish Pirates?

I sit near a group of established Blues supporters who in their words when I joined them ten years ago..... "we have followed Bedford through thick years and thin years whatever.."

.... . .yesterday I saw them walk out long before the final whistle.....along with many others......

We may have sold ever ticket but not every seat was occupied many did not bother to turn up

It's time for brave men (and wonen) to step up to the plate and make decisions......and then tell us the spectators (customers) what the future holds
