BROADSTREET slumped to a fourth loss in six outings as they surrendered a 14- point lead to go down against rock-bottom Hull at the Ivor Preece Fields. The afternoon looked to be plain sailing for Street as Nigel Mukarati crossed the whitewash after only two minutes, following a break from winger Greg Summers.

Street went further ahead five minutes later when Summers turned scorer, and Gary Challis converted again to leave them sitting pretty.

But Talbot then saw yellow for Street, and Hull got on to the sheet through flanker Robert Devonshire.

Hull began to motor through the gears, and Wayne Lester saw his attempted clearance charged down, allowing Robert Kitching to race through and score. James Cameron added the extras.

Hull lost a man, as Dan Cook followed Talbot to the bin for punching. However, they held on well, andafter the break, Cameron kicked them ahead with a penalty, before Thomas Allen went over following dreadful Street defending.

Challis notched two late penalties for the hosts, but it wasn’t enough.
