SECOND row forward Sam Herrington joined Coventry’s already lengthy injury list after breaking his hand in the closing minutes of Saturday’s 26-14 win over Barking.
Herrington, making his 99th appearance for the side, was injured in the 13th minute of time added on by referee Jason Bessent at the end of the second half as Cov claimed their first win in five games but struggled to impress against the bottom side in National League One.
“We’re pleased to have got the win but not particularly with the way it was achieved,” said forwards coach Dave Addleton.
“I thought we made too much hard work of it but the important thing was to stop the run of defeats although the winning margin should have been a lot wider.
“The pack did well in the set piece but the lads are lacking a bit of confidence and we need to build that back into them and get back to where we were a couple of months ago.
