The Coventry Rugby team to face Blaydon away this Saturday, kick off 2.15 pm has just been announced. It shows 8 changes including 1 positional from the side that lost so heavily to Macclesfield last week.
On the wings Spencer Sutherland and Michael Gillick are replaced by Jeff Gregson and the returning Heath Stevens. Centre James Whybrow, who was unavailable last week comes in for Jack Green, and there is a positional change as Khrist Kopetzky switches from No 9 to No 10 in place of Elliott Read who goes onto the replacements. Lewis Barker is back at scrum half after being unavailable last week.
There are three changes amongst the forwards as Will Hafu makes his first start as hooker in place of the injured Dale Ager, and Jamie Harrop, who had an impressive game for the Nighthawks against the Army comes in for the injured Jamie Miller.
There is also a debut for 6ft 8 ins lock Tom Hicks just signed on a DR basis from Northampton Saints. There is another debutant on the replacements as hooker Tom Cowell comes in after his recent leg operation, another player who performed well for the Nighthawks.
You're right Nige, we can't complain about the management trying new things. I fervently hope though, this is not a shake up borne of desperation, but that it has an identifiable strategy with a committed purpose.
I wish I could go up to Blaydon and give my support. It would be a massive tonic to witness an away win. Actually at the moment it would just be good to witness a win.
One of the few matches we will be not be attending this season, good luck to the lads, especially the new boys, hope you have a great game and bring home the points.
I would echo everyone else's sentiments, although according to twitter the day hasn't started off too well with Eliot Read damaging his ankle on the way to the bus...last time I checked he was still in hospital!
