Coventry Rugby snap up another Welsh international.

Coventry Rugby are delighted to announce that they have followed up last week’s signing of  Welsh International  fly half Matt Jones, with that of another Welsh international full back Barry Davies from Championship side Jersey RFC.

Barry, aged 32 has a wealth of experience of playing at a high level earning his Welsh International cap in 2006 against Ireland, as well as experience in the Heineken Cup , Magners now the Rabo Direct League and playing  for the two  Welsh Regional sides Scarlets  and Ospreys as well as a year at French side Brive.

Barry comes to Coventry Rugby after a season at new Championship side Jersey, where he helped to secure their place in that league in their first season.

Barry is Coventry Rugby 4th new signing so far announced and once again emphasises the influence of Coventry’s new Head Coach Scott Morgan and indeed Coventry Rugby’s ambitions for the coming season.  As Scott Morgan comments “ Coventry Rugby are delighted that Barry has committed to Coventry Rugby for this coming season. Having played with and against Barry he has a wealth of experience and is a real attacking threat with ball in hand. Barry also gives options in the backline as he can play 10,13,15 or wing. As a coaching group we have identified the need to have more experienced players to assist in the decision making and development of the younger players on the pitch, and Barry fits that need.”

It is expected that a further new back signing will be revealed by Coventry Rugby early next week.

Anyone know the words to "bread of heaven" ?

Good to see the new man pulling in what he needs, he needs experience and he knows where to find it.
