Head coach Scott Morgan slams Cov after 'shocking' defeat...

Head coach Scott Morgan pulled no punches in the wake of Coventry’s 25-13 National League One defeat at Old Albanian.

“It was shocking – really disappointing,” said Morgan after watching Cov surrender a 10-0 lead and fail to score a point in a second half interrupted by a break when referee Matthew O’Grady took the players off during a violent storm.

“There is no excuse for that type of performance. That’s two weeks on the bounce that we have been way below par and it’s just not acceptable.

“We started well, but we have got to ask, do we get over-confident? Rugby is a simple game and if you do the basic things well, the rest comes, but we are trying to play too much rugby without earning it.

“We are just over-complicating things which is not what we practice in the week, we go away from the game plan so easily. We have got lots of people saying how it should be done, but they are not doing it.

Fully agree Scott, now take this team and coaching staff by the scruff of the neck and sort them out.

if changes need to be made.... do it.
