...Saturday's game against Cinderford

Coventry RFC have suffered a double blow to their back row options for Saturday’s home game against Cinderford with both flanker George Oliver and No.8 Ed Milne ruled out by injuries.

And they will also be without skipper and leading points scorer Cliffie Hodgson, who is waiting for Home Office confirmation of a visa extension, as Cov attempt to extend their winning run in National League One to 16 games.

Oliver’s absence is compulsory after coming off half an hour into last week’s 17-13 win at Wharfedale with a head injury, while dual-registered Milne suffered a broken toe in training earlier this week at parent club Leicester Tigers.

It means back row recalls for No.8 Jacques Le Roux, who has been playing at Broadstreet to regain match fitness since suffering an Achilles problem in the opening game of the season against Rosslyn Park, and Luke Joseph who has been out of the side since he was injured at the start of October.

Winger Will Hurrell is available again after university exams forced him to miss last week’s game, when Hodgson filled in for him out of position, and there is one further change to the starting line-up with Andy Brown returning at loose head prop in place of Beno Obano. Scrum-half Wayne Evans captains the side.

As I understand it, Brett recovered from his original injury, played for Briadstreet to regain match fitness and was injured again.
