END OF SEASON POLL 2013-14 Part 3

So we move on to the next part of the poll. Where do you like to go, what do you like to eat and drink, who do you enjoy watching and who would you rather avoid?

  1. BEST SARACENS PERFORMANCE OF THE SEASON (2013 Heineken ¼ final v Ulster)

There were a couple of votes for the home win over Leicester and the away victory at Bath but the overwhelming majority voted for that supreme afternoon at Twickenham when Saracens played as well as I have ever seen them; THE HEINEKEN SEMI FINAL 46-6 WIN OVER CLERMONT AUVERGNE

  2. WORST SARACENS PERFORMANCE OF THE SEASON (2013 AP semi v Northampton)

This one was a bit closer. There were several votes for the loss to Toulon in the Heineken Final, the away loss to Northampton in the Premiership and the performance against Exeter Chiefs at Allianz but there really was only one winner (or should I say loser!) The day we didn’t turn up and LOST 13-22 TO LONDON IRISH AT ALLIANZ

  3. FAVOURITE CLUB TO VISIT FOR AN AWAY GAME (2013 Exeter)

For the past 3 years this has been an overwhelming vote for Exeter but not this year. Exeter still attracted a number of votes as did Leicester Tigers, Northampton and Ulster but the winner this year was over the channel. Our favourite away venue last season (and I have to agree, we had a briliiant weekend - apart from the result that is) was TOULOUSE

  4. LEAST FAVOURITE CLUB TO VISIT FOR AN AWAY GAME (2013 London Welsh)

Lots of suggestions for this one. You didn’t enjoy travelling to Wasps, Sale, Leicester (apart from those who voted for them in 3. above), Ulster (ditto), definitely not The Millennium Stadium but most of all you dislike visiting NORTHAMPTON (except those in Q3 above who do!)

  5. BEST OPPOSITION FANS (2013 Toulon)

Last year this one went across the sea to Toulon and their fans again attracted quite a lot of support. In fact with the exception of a few votes for Exeter, Sale and Scarlets (and bizarrely Leinster fans at the Heinken Cup final) all the nominations were “a travers La Manche”. In addition to Toulon, you enjoyed the company, once again, of Clermont’s supporters but most of all it was the Rouge et Noir of STADE TOULOUSAIN

  6. WORST OPPOSITION FANS (2013 Northampton)

Usual suspects here in Gloucester and Quins plus some new bad guys at Ulster but I’m afraid it’s our friends up the M1 who once again attract your wrath. The winners are the supporters of NORTHAMPTON SAINTS

  7. FAVOURITE OTHER PREMIERSHIP TEAM (2013 Exeter Chiefs)

Support for a number of other teams here. Sale of course (our one time feeder club) gets a mention as does Bath and Leicester. In was a very close call between last year’s winners, Exeter and our near neighbours Wasps. Casting vote time again – and because of the kites, the winners are WASPS

  8. LEAST FAVOURITE OTHER PREMIERSHIP TEAM (2013 Northampton Saints)

Not surprisingly the same teams which feature in Q4. and Q6. above, feature here. You aren’t keen on Quins, Leicester or Gloucester but as you have doubtless guessed, your least favourite of all is once again NORTHAMPTON SAINTS

  9. BEST BAR (2013 Allianz Park)

Just a couple of dissenting voices for Sandy Park and Mill Hill Rugby Club but for everyone else there really is no place like home! Saracens Ale has it the winner is our very own ALLIANZ PARK

  10. WORST BAR (2013 Twickenham)

Three contenders here, none of them home to Club rugby. You disliked the overpriced offerings & the poor service at Twickenham, you didn’t enjoy the welsh bars at the Millennium (lucky those of you who had time to sample them! But that’s another story) but most of all you disliked the jaw dropping prices at WEMBLEY

  11. BEST FOOD (2013 Allianz Park)

Totally unanimous this one. Be it the Laverstoke Pies, the Barbecues, the James Johnston Beef and Cheese pies and everything else on offer, the winner is once again ALLIANZ PARK

  12. WORST FOOD (2013 Twickenham)

Funny how this one had the same 3 contenders as the worst bar! Over-priced cardboard burgers, tepid chips, rubber hot-dogs everywhere. You definitely didn’t enjoy your visits to Twickenham or Wembley, but this time the winner was Wales’ “finest” MILLENNIUM STADIUM

Hilarious - get over it, you lost. We all start again in September with absolutely nothing and if you don't win a trophy, I for one will be very surprised.......and yes, the angst all started with a silly little ditty being sung a long time ago !

You seem a bit confused, I have not seen a single comment from Saracens supporters linking Saracens' loss in the final to anything other than the team of referees. The outcome of this vote would have been the same, most likely, if Saracens had won.

That said, the purpose of these votes is to entertain people on this site, and I am grateful to those that take the time to organise them.

Regardez mon visage. Suis-je bovvered?
