Bradford Bulls have announced that wing Tevita Vaikona is leaving the Super League club to join Saracens for the 2004-05 Zurich Premiership season. Vaikona who turns 30 tomorrow (18 August) is the second Odsal player to make the move to the Men in Black after Nathan McAvoy joined Sarries in 2002 and will be hoping that he will have better luck than his former Bulls team mate who made only a handful of appearances in a Sarries shirt after a series of injuries.

Speaking on the club's official web site, Bulls Chairman Chris Caisley said "Tevita leaves with the best wishes of everyone at the club. He has been a great servant to the Bulls and has constantly put his body on the line since his arrival in 1998. He is looking to extend his career by a couple of years and feels this move will help him achieve that."

Since joining from Hull FC back in 1998, the Tongan wing has scored 101 tries in his 164 apperances in a Bulls shirt and has also played a little rugby union in his time for Bradford and Bingley.

Saracens, with their squad currently in South Africa preparing for their friendly match with the Lions, have yet to comment on the signing but are likely to do so given that the move which was the source of rumour earlier this month, is now out in the open.
