Victory over Newbury last weekend and no new additions to their crippling injury list mean it's been a better than average week in Coventry's topsy-turvy season. Add to that the fact that tomorrow's visitors to the Butts Park Arena are lowly Waterloo (2.30pm) and it would appear that things are looking up.

But it's not all clear blue skies over Spon End.

The Coventy coach is still operating with a reduced squad with no new faces to replace those out through injury and despite the determination shown last week to come back from an early 14-point deficit to secure their fourth win of the season, there are still some areas of concern to work on.

"We need to address that first ten minutes," said Umaga. "We are not totally concentrating, errors creep in and that's what letting us down.

 

"We went through all the emotions last Saturday to come back and win and I take my hat off to the players for that.

 

"The victory set us up for a good week's training. We need to look at what we can do, the positives.

 

"We can still score tries and hold the ball in various phases and we're ready to go again."

 

With no new injuries to worry about, Cov have been concentrating on reducing their casualty list.

 

Centre Kieron Geraghty should be fit to play some part on Sunday after failing a late fitness test on his groin injury last week.

 

Though Waterloo have won just two of their ten league games this season, Umaga is not taking them lightly.

 

"There's not too many teams who win at Exeter, so we will be giving them plenty of respect," he said.

 

"They have also beaten Cornish Pirates, so on their day they can do anyone.

 

"Waterloo don't have too many big names but they work hard for 80 minutes so we have to be able to hold on to the ball and get into good positions.

 

"If we can build on last week, sharpen up our attitude and have a tougher edge to our mental approach, we can come away with the points."
