Pertemps Bees have received a £500,000 cash boost from Midlands property company Oakmoor Estates. The deal, which was unanimously approved by Bees' members at an extraordinary general meeting on Thursday, will help to clear the National One club's accumulated debts and reduce their interest payments.

Oakmoor are long-time backers of the Bees and have an option agreement on the club's ground at Sharmans Cross Road.

The Bees plan to leave Sharmans Cross Road next season and groundshare with sporting neighbours Solihull Moors at the non-league football club's headquarters at Damson Park.

Planning permission for a housing development on Sharmans Cross Road is due to be submitted early in the New Year.

If the application is successful, Oakmoor hope to recoup the £500,000 when the rugby ground is sold.

The Bees hope that Oakmoor's funding will allow them to re-structure their finances and to expand the club's commercial department to increase revenue.

Have heard unofficial that Bees V Northampton may be moved from SXR to the new ground if feasible.

(Actually it's not bad - and head and shoulders above their own midden. I wish them bon chance there. I'm sure they'll bounce back).
