NUNEATON maintained their push for the National Three North title with a commanding bonus-point victory at Liberty Way. But although the Nuns scored six tries, they did not have it all their own way against a valiant, but ultimately outclassed Huddersfield side. In fact the visitors took the lead direct from the kick-off, with Barry Jacobsz capitalising on an error to score.

Hooker Adam Bray got the Nuns back into the game before Rob Cook’s try gave the home side the lead.

Huddersfield hit back though Alex Shaw before Mickey Moore got his first of the day to leave the sides level at half-time.

A fired up Nuns side began the second half with Moore’s second try, two Thomas penalties and a try for Tim Douglas.

Huddersfield kept battling and were rewarded by Matthew Clark’s try. The last word, however, went to the Nuns, who scored through Brook Davies.
