Coventry rugby player Kurt Johnson marries after delay scare

Kurts wedding wait worth it NINETY minutes after rugby star Kurt Johnson was due to marry at Coventry Cathedral on Friday his fianc was still nowhere to be seen. A coach driver had taken a wrong turn sending Natalie Lagopoulos and 50 of her guests the wrong way up the A46 as the winger waited on the cathedral steps. As you can see, its not all going to plan, sighed the Coventry Rugby Club stalwart.

Thankfully, the driver eventually realised his mistake and Kurt was able to walk 25-year-old Natalie up the aisle four years after meeting at a recruitment agency in the city.

Kurt, 32, who is in his eleventh year at the club and has scored 106 tries, had been made redundant and recruitment worker Natalie was helping him find work.

Best wishes to Kurt and Natalie. Let's hope long and happy times await.
I wonder like you, Al, if Kurt is going to get a game this season. He's pushing on a bit now but I've never seen him less than 100% committed. Surely his record deserves the award of a benefit game?

why not make the boxing day game against Mose, KURTS GAME, should be a big crowd, least the club could do for him, he's one of the legends, even while he's still playing

What a d**ned good idea, hipflask, why didn't I think of that?
Who do we approach at the club to make the suggestion, or is the post on this board sufficient?

The moseley boxing day game is away this season, shame though because it's a cracking idea.

This guy needs some recognition.

Oh b****cks. Like you, hipflask, I didn't realise the Boxing Day game is at Mose.
We must come up with a suitable alternative. Not sure I like the idea of the Donny game. I'll keep searching.

Does anyone know if a testimonial is already being talked about?
Tom? could you find out? If not then the fans can get campaigning!

It would most certainly have to be a none championship fixture. Like Aggy's game. it would be nice for a couple of games like a Coventy XV V Coventry and mid Warwichshire union and what about a Midlands select XV against COV. Just hope he get's that next try in a Championship game. Good shout by you all. would back it and pay for a ticket.
