BROADSTREET lost their 100 per cent record in National Two North when they were beaten by an impressive Fylde at the Ivor Preece Fields. The Street will surely consider the defeat to be a missed opportunity, as Fylde had four men in the sin bin in the first half, but still the hosts could find no way through. In fact, it was Fylde who went into the break 10-6 ahead, before they simply ran away with it in the second half to record four unanswered tries.

Danny Richards kicked an early penalty to give the hosts the advantage, but Oliver Brennard responded with a try for the visitors, which Mike Waywell converted. Waywell and Richards kicked a penalty apiece for their respective teams before half-time.

Richards struck again after 48 minutes to drag Broadstreet to within a solitary point, but Waywell hit back for Fylde shortly after to cancel it out.

And then two converted tries in four minutes from Lawrie Smith and David Wilks gave the visitors breathing space, while Wilks and James Smith scored late on to nail the coffin shut.
