Broadstreet aim to bounce back against Hull Ionians

BROADSTREET have an ideal opportunity to bounce back from their first defeat of the season when they travel to rock-bottom Hull Ionians – but the Coventry men are steeling themselves for a tough challenge. “If we’ve learned one thing this season it’s that you can’t take anything for granted,” stressed spokesman Stuart Hall. “Look where we were on Saturday morning and where we finished up.”

Hall is confident that the 39-9 home defeat against Fylde will prove a valuable step in Street’s learning curve.

“We played well in patches but tactically we weren’t as sharp as we should have been – especially when they were down to 13 men. But we’ve got a young team and we will learn from those mistakes.”
