Scottish star moves to Coventry Rugby.

Coventry Rugby have acted swiftly to cover the loss of Nick Southern and Seb Pearson from last season’s Coventry back row, with the signing of 6ft 2in No 8 Jonny Pelter from the Watsonians Club. Jonny , who is aged 22, has just finished his degree in Edinburgh and has been playing for the Scottish Premiership club Watsonians whilst at University.

Originally a member of Bedford Academy, whom he captained, Jonny had previously turned down an offer to stay at Bedford and decided to complete his studies at Edinburgh.

He now wishes to move into a rugby career and looks forward to assisting both his career and Coventry Rugby as they continue to make steady progress to improving their squad.

A hard running , tackling and skilful No 8 Jonny will bring a new dimension to Coventry’s pack giving further options to an already impressive back row, including the recent signing of Jamie Miller.

Looking at the videos, he looks useful. He's played 2nd row at Watsonians as well as back row.

Another piece in the puzzle, and another player at an age where he will probably improve. Looking promising in the forwards again.
Welcome to Cov, Jonny.

His old club up here, Watsonians, got relegated last season and will be with us in Scottish Premier 2 next.

We played them in the strange play off system we have up here (bottom 4 of prem 1 against top 4 of prem 2). They came 5th out of the 8, we were 7th.

He was not in the squad that day, and I haven't seen him play, so I can't comment about him, but if any one is interested, highlights of the game we had with them are on Border Rugby TV youtube at [">www.youtube.com]

If you mean Jeff Gregson, nothing has been released by the club yet.

If you keep an eye on this thread it contains a complete list of players who played for Cov in NL1 last season and any news that has come about about where they are now.

That's who i meant Oldnick lol (Sm105) - I must be losing my marbles, I have no idea why i called him Gregg - Must have mixed up his surname in there somewhere!
I thought he did well for us last season, hope he does sign on again for us . Then hopefully i should get his name right by then !
Sorry Jeff if you read these posts!
