Coventry captain Jamie Miller fears three month lay-off.

COVENTRY captain Jamie Miller fears it could take him up to three months to recover from ankle surgery.

The back rower is due to go under the knife a week today and at this stage he is not sure exactly how long it will take before he is fit to resume his Butts Park career.

Much depends on what the surgeon finds when he operates and whether a piece of bone which had become loose has started to fuse to the joint.

If that is the case, and Miller says scans suggest it is, then he will miss between ten and 12 weeks as he waits for the wound to heal and his rehabilitation to take effect.

“I am gutted,” the 24-year-old said.

“It is frustrating being injured at any stage but more so when you have only had five games and with the added responsibility of having been made captain.
