BRETT Daynes has predicted a bright future for rising Coventry starlet Ethan Waller after the youngster put in a superb performance in the win over Birmingham & Solihull.
Dual-registered prop Waller scored his second try in as many matches and by Daynes’ own admission ran him very close for man-of-the-match honours.
Cov went on to score three more times, win by 29-13 and secure just a third try bonus of the season, in what was the perfect response to the previous weekend’s hammering at Fylde.
There were many good individual displays on the day, not least Daynes’ but the skipper singled out Waller as a star in the making.
“Ethan runs himself close to man-of-the-match every weekend – what a player,” the back rower said,
“He turns up game in game out and just does his job. If you look at some of the best players in the world, they just do their jobs, do the basics and do them well. That’s what Ethan does, he does his job and he is a brilliant player.
