Results round up week 25 weekend 9th, 10th March.

BARKING 22 20 JERSEY
BLAYDON 31 24 CINDERFORD
CAMBRIDGE 37 63 EALING TFS
COVENTRY 39 26 FYLDE

STOURBRIDGE 22 25 ROSSLYN PARK
TYNEDALE 17 34 BLACKHEATH
This league continues to surprise, who would have thought that bottom club Barking would beat leaders Jersey to deny them their 19th consecutive victory. Equally Fylde, were unable to take advantage by losing an exciting encounter at the BPA to a resurgent Coventry, who needed the win to pile more pressure on the third placed relegation team Birmingham Solihull. At one stage it looked like Ealing could not take up the slip ups by Jersey and Fylde, but they had to come from behind to finally defeat Cambridge with 5 tries in the last 8 minutes. This leaves Jersey, just 4 points ahead of Ealing, with Fylde a further 4 points behind, realistically the only candidates for promotion.
Friday night saw Birmingham Solihull travel to Macclesfield, whose weakened side was no match for Birmingham Solihull with Mark Woodrow’s kicking, as they obtained their 4th win in a row. This win puts more pressure on the teams just above them, but with Coventry getting a bonus point win, another defeat by Cambridge and Wharfedale, bring them within the orbit of Birmingham Solihull, together with Sedgley Park.
Coventry’s well deserved win propels them into 10th place, just 3 points behind 7th placed Cinderford. With only one fixture next week this exciting and nerve wracking end to the season at both ends of the spectrum will have to wait.
Fixture 17th match:
No Coventry preview this week as there is only one fixture, the catch up game as Blaydon entertain Tynedale in the north-eastern derby. Tynedale in 8th place, are finding it difficult to win and Blaydon with another game in hand in 9th place, must fancy winning to take them above Cinderford in 7th spot.
