This Saturday 15thDecember Coventry Rugby travel to Park Lane, Whitefield to meet Sedgley Park, kick off 2.30 pm. The Coventry side has just been announced and shows just two changes from the starting line-up that put up such a brave but ultimately unrewarded performance against third placed Blaydon last Saturday.
Lewis Barker comes in off the bench to replace an injured Nathan Jones, with his place on the bench taken by Ross Kevan. On the wing Heath Stevens is replaced on the wing by Ben Toft, a late replacement last week also from the bench. His place on the bench is taken by the returning Will Maisey.
this is a vitally important game for both teams going into the christmas break. Both teams will be desperate to secure points on the pitch and on the league table.
This game is between two of the lowest scoring teams in the division, with wet and windy conditions forecast, bonus points look unlikely.
Could S Ps change in their coaching staff make a major impact already in there challenge to move out of the relegation zone.
Each week we see a bit of tinkering with the side, mostly positional and except for the big injuries it is just minor tinkering. I may be looking through rose tinted glasses but whatever player comes in I do not see the side being weakened which is a positive change in my view. Last year some changes I cringed at but not this year. Best of look on Saturday to the team I will not be there but hope someone will keep us up to date by putting the score on the site.
