FORWARDS coach Dave Addleton expressed his delight at the impact made by the incoming players after Coventry put their National League One season back on track with a 29-12 win over Cinderford.

Cov, who made five changes in starting personnel from the previous week, played some of their best rugby of the season in the wet conditions to end a run of three defeats.

“Everyone stepped up to the plate today – we’re a squad, people have got to come in and out, and all the guys put their hands up,” said Addleton. They all did their job.

“I thought Will Maisey was outstanding at 10, he bought into what we wanted to do and put the ball in the right places to keep the pressure on. Bronson Ross made some huge hits and the tackle count from the whole front five was superb, the back row dominated, and behind them Callum MacBurnie made the line calls.

“We cut down Cinderford’s thinking time and we said that the minute we got over the halfway line we would have a look at getting the ball wide if we were in the right areas.

“Our game management was very good today and we got the reward.”

Any fool can keep chopping and changing and then claim its all part of some super team effort when a game, yes one game, is won.

His account suspended for expressing an opinion you don't agree with? That's freedom of expression gone for a chop then?. I don't entirely agree with his opinions but I accept his right to say them.
