IT WAS a disappointing day for players and fans on Saturday, as we had many chances to win what was a close-fought encounter against Rosslyn Park.
We all knew during the warm-up it wasn’t going to be a rugby spectacle as the pitch was unbelievably heavy under foot, but we had discussed this during the week and were confident our game-plan was correct.
During the first half we had the vast majority of territory but our lack of discipline and execution let us down. On too many occasions we found ourselves leaving the Rosslyn Park 22 with no points.
The second half was a more even share of territory but yet again we had numerous chances and failed to score.
