Coventry Rugby are pleased to announce that tight-head prop Jacob (Jake) Caulfield has joined them from fellow National League 1 side Cinderford.
Jake, aged 22, born in Weston-super-Mare, was a member of the Bristol Academy, then Ulster Rugby, followed by London Irish before joining Championship side Plymouth Albion, and this season has played 14 games including 8 starts and has scored 2 tries for Cinderford. Already experienced at junior international level having played for England U17’s and U18’s, and then Ireland U 19 and 20’s, as well as the Aviva Premiership “A” league.
Although primarily a tight-head Jake can also play on the other side of the scrum thus giving Coventry Rugby some further options.
Whilst one player leaves the Forest another moves in the opposite direction, as scrum half Louis Silver joins the Foresters. Louis had a somewhat restricted season at Coventry Rugby with just 8 appearances including 2 starts, following the recruitment of Wayne Evans.
Coventry Rugby wishes Louis every success at his new club and thanks him for his past efforts.
