New Zealander Tom Preece signs for Coventry Rugby.

Coventry Rugby are pleased to confirm the signing of New Zealand back-row forward Tom Preece. Tom aged 26, played as a No 8 for Scottish Premiership side Aberdeen Grammar two seasons ago, and was at French Federale 2 side Saint-Sevin Sportif last season. 

In New Zealand Tom played for North Harbour Marist and represented Auckland “B”. He comes very much recommended by Welsh Development Coach Carl Douglas, and Tom is expected to arrive in this country to commence pre-season training next week. This signing is confirmed to be Coventry Rugby’s 14 new signing of the season, taking the current squad to 37.

Currently there are also a number of trialists at Coventry Rugby including 2 scrum-halfs , confirmation of such signings will occur when appropriate.
