Leeds Rhinos make it to joint top in the table after beating Hudderfield Giants in a Super League clash in the wet as the Giants are still searching for a win.

Rhinos managed to edge the Giants in a tight game in the rain at the Headingley Carnegie Stadium. Huddersfield Giants skipper Chris Thorman grabbed an early penalty before Rob Burrow and Clinton Toopi created a great partnership to score for the home crowd. Later Eorl Crabtree hit back with a try for the Giants, but the Rhinos hit back with a try from Jamie Jones-Buchanan to once again let the Rhinos get ahead. Leeds Smith scored again for the hosts and star Super League scored Sinfield won a penalty before Giants Thorman got a late try. Brent Webb got sin binned twice close tie and ill-tempered encounter which left Huddersfield still searching for the first Super League win as they lie bottom of the table. Jamahl Lolesi and Hudderfield veteran Paul Reilly were both shown the yellow card during the game.
