It is almost all change at the Supporters Club top table with new names in key roles and a newbie on the committee. The recent meeting elected the club's officers and under the leadership of a new dynamic duo the committee structure has taken shape.
The top two roles are
taken by familiar faces with Martin John becoming Chairman and Toria Jamieson
his sidekick as Vice-Chairman. Martin has served several years as Secretary and
Toria has been Membership Secretary for the last 12 months. Previous Chairman Nigel Doe has decided to leave the committee and is thanked for his work.
Straight in at the deep end is Justin Musson who,
fresh from joining the committee at June's AGM, takes possession of the LWSC
biro and with it the duty of being Supporters Club Secretary.
Brian Jones had a brief sabbatical from the role
of Membership Secretary but in the latest reshuffle moves seamlessly back into
the post.
The Supporters Club's funds remain in the safe
custodianship of Pete Lowe who retains the position of Treasurer.
As part of the changes Alan Hanford steps down as
Vice-Chairman but remains on the committee. There are four other committee
members who, although without formal roles, each play their part in the running
of the Supporters Club. They are Keith Ford, Joe Jones, Steve Price and Rhianon
Williams.
The Supporters Club are proud to help kick-start the 2011/12 campaign by covering the printing costs of the latest edition of Year of the Dragon, the always excellent record of the previous season. This will be sent out to London Welsh members with the 2011/12 season tickets.
