In these days of professionalism and competitive league rugby it is extremely rewarding when the game continues its proud traditions. That is why we are all proud that tonight Goldington Road hosts the annual Mobbs Memorialgame against the British Army. Kick off 7.45.

This fixture was first played in 1921 and honours Lieutenant Colonel Edgar Mobbs DSO, an England rugby legend and a hero of World War I.

The game now sees the British Army taking on  Blues and Northampton Saints on alternate years.

Tonight's Blues team will also feature  Academy players as well as a number of invitational players from Saracens, Wasps, Ampthill, Cambridge, Hertford, Bishop Stortford and Loughborough University.

What a fantastic memorial plaque, is it located somewhere at Goldington Road?

A truly entertaining game, some super tries from both teams. Good to see Dodge back with a couple of tries too. Thought our no7 looked good with ball in hand. Well done the Blues!
