Both teams hard at it, a bit like the two dogs going for it for 80 mins. Get passed this game then we can focus on strengthening for next season

PPB - could be naughty step, not fit, tactical. Nobody understands selection at the best of times and the club are good at keeping us in the dark on most things.

Well 5pts in the bag as hoped. Some good tries also. It was a win and has moved us up to 9th. Can still get 6th if the results go our way, big games next couple of weeks.

Madness - first half one of the most ......... 40 minutes I have seen - second half madness even with 5 minutes to go I was not confident that we would win.

And if we do finish 6th we can all have a mass debate

Awesome performance from NFW. Camillo came on and turned the ball over 4 times. Some great tackling from 6 and 7. Reasons to be cheerful.

I was going to mention Fenton-Wells performance for the ones moaning about his leadership qualities.

In the 1st half he won 3 or 4 penalties (was that all we were awarded?) and then made the initial break that set up the try. I'd much prefer a captain who led by example than one who just shouted and screamed at his players who think why don't you practice what you preach.

Great win great performance- there is no doubt we are on the up for the rest of the season COYBS - above Donny now keep it going boys - and United won and I won the Lottery £25 so all in all great weekend was had by me

Well NFW has done nothing all season and probably had a point to prove. Still don't think he's the right person to take us forward IMO.

That just shows how little you know about rugby then! To say he's done nothing all season is ridiculous.

Considering how weak our back row is (desperately needs strengthening) he does well.

I don't think our team needs to be strengthened- happy as it is - we are not going up and we are not going down - the whole team is poor if you compare it to the top 4 it is good enough to stay in the bottom 4 without going down and if we do happen to go down that is ok - captain JP for me knight him and keep him for another couple of years.

TB - Obviously you know a lot then..........! There was no reason to remove James from the captaincy role and he still has another season, possibly two left in him. We need a player with plenty of premiership experience that wants to drop down to the 2nd tier, a Dan Richmond/ Matt Allen type of player that we can build a team round for a few seasons. I agree that NFW had a very good game yesterday, but I'm not going to change my mind on him as a captain.

Do you not think with Pritchard saying he is retiring at the end of the World Cup it is a good idea to pass on the reins to a player who was with the Saracens squad and played in a more competitive competition than the Championship when in South Africa?

Perhaps the plan was to let Fenton-Wells do a season of captaincy whilst Pritchard is still around to assist and help him before he retires. Or perhaps not as of course we do forward plan?

We do not have any player in the squad this year that you have described.

What player from the Premiership wants to drop down a division and is happy to lose most matches at the end of their career? They would certainly want paying.

Magoo - Yes and how many seasons has it been for..... Others like Matt Allen, Dan Richmond, Craig Moir, Chris Johnson, John Phillips, Harry Wells to name but a few, were also happy to drop down.

TB - my point is that we should have left Skiippy to hold the reigns until he finally decides to retire. Then beyond to reward him as our backs coach. These are my thoughts and hopes, but hey I know nothing about rugby.

Have you noticed the decade of the players you list with the exception of Wells? Chris Johnson was also a very experience player in our league really. These players were used to earning relatively little compared to their modern counterparts to play rugby and dropping down to us wasn't such a huge drop in money.

Nowadays the players are earning £80k+ and to more than half that to come to a club that you would be more than happy to get stuffed every week and get relegated as you would not want to strengthen the side I really can't see which player would like to end a great career playing at the highest level like that?

Paul Tupai came to a mid to upper table team. He loves playing rugby, it is not a career for him it is a way of life!

Aren't you one of the ones saying where is the vision, where is the master plan? Here perhaps we were planning a life with a player who has pretty much been with us throughout his career and knows everything about Bedford who can pass on what ever he wishes to the new captain.

Older players are not wanting to prolong their careers anymore dropping down the league like they used to.

Younger players are happy to drop down as it benefits them to get some game time to showcase their talents like Twelvetrees, Fisher amd Wells.

Pritchard may not see it as a reward becoming a backs coach!

Didn't Pritch drop a level from Saints to Blues or did he rise from Luton? We will not mention his time at Plymouth or in France.

Red Eagle, he came to us from Randwick, brought in by Colin Jackson. He never played at Luton that's for sure. I guess he's been with us since then apart from possibly a couple of seasons in the middle where it was Plymouth and spells at the other two.

I think you are wrong. check with Pritch for confirmation, also you are wrong about Jackson bringing him in, he did turn him down when he returned from France.

Didn't he also play for a Canadian club (sport not the drink) side. A bit of a journeyman really.

He was signed by Colin Jackson from the Randwick club in 2001 with a reputation as a points machine. He used to return to Randwick after the championship season had finished to play some summer rugby.

He did do a part time backs coach role at Luton, not sure when though.

I do not question that he would make a pretty good back coach. He could also perhaps be a kicking coach, although has lost distance from when he first joined. I remember him being able to kick from around the halfway line.

I am saying you can't give a job to someone who perhaps doesn't want it! When you are still good enough to play in the team, he is perhaps wanting to give up, giving up evenings and weekends away from rugby to concentrate on other things.

TryBlues - Well I'm really hoping that he re-signs for next season.

He did go to a Canadian team between Blues & Albion to show he should be selected in the National team.
