Rugby Starts Next Week

Well that was summer. Goldington Road is looking good for the return of rugby with Ampthill and Old Albanians providing a gentle pipeopener to the new season.

Most clubs are now opting for these triangular starts as they allow some proper contact for the greatest number of players.

Kick off on Saturday August 15th will be at 2.00 with ambitious Ampthill first up for a 40 minute contest.They are now in National League One after an interesting journey up the leagues and have recruited well over the summer.

With great respect Old Albanians won't be in quite the same frame of mind after being relegated to level 4 last season.  Our squad will face them at 3.00 with Ampthill taking on Old Albs in the final frtty minuter followed by a party in the Marquee.

Surprised that admission is being charged for the day but it is only a fiver.
