To be honest we should have had more points on the board in the first half and then his mistake wouldn't have been such a big issue. Failing to touch down after a driving maul went over the home line was a particular sin.
We turned round 7-0 up but allowed Scottish to score two quick tries with Nick misjudging a clearance kick and allowing wsinger Matt Williams to collect the loose ball and score.
Scottish had their tails upp and went on to win 24-12 although the Blues camp is taking coniolation in a decent all round performance. Our first half try came from Pat Tapley with Pier O'Conor crossing in the second half.
The only person who should own up and take responsibility is Rayer . . . . . Pick a consistent team and play players in their strongest positions. Sharp should start at 10 with Dorrian at 12. Harry Wells in the second row with Thompson Stringer at 8 . . . . Enough said!!!
Like I've said Rayer made a big call with selection and it's backfired on him, he's accountable at the end of the day. He needs to put his hand up and admit to getting wrong. Yes Sharp has to start at 10 if he's fit, another balls up
As I have said its difficult to judge when you are not at the game............but what concerns me is the ease with which we concede bonus points to the opposition........not just this year but also last....
When it comes to who makes the play offs (this year a possisablity) or relegation it's these bonus points that make the difference.....
I would presume that when the team have their pre-match pep talk that Mr R explains the value of a losing bonus points........I hope I explained that bit right......
