A tremendous battling performance in the Channel Islands earned only one losing bonus  point -  but it could have been more as we had to settle for a 34-27 defeat.

Once again we paid the price for a poor start conceding three tries in the first half before rallying with a couple of tries from Dean Adamson and another from Mike Howard.

Our cause wasn't helped when Mike Le Bourgois and Sam Blanchet banged into each other - both having to leave the field with Ollie Dodge also an injury victim.

So the home side got their  bonus point fourth which was the cue for us to camp out on the home line as we sught a converted try tgo share the spoils  but, sadly, to no avail.

It's all entertaining stuff these days with Roterham at Goldington Road on Friday night.
