It's quite simple this week. Beat Scarlets Select and we will qualify for the quarter final of the B&I cup ...

Kick off at Goldington Road is 2.00 . That's the same for every game in the competition so that there is no final qualifying day skullduggery.

We won't be interested in any of the permutations if we beat Scarlets. So, Mike Rayer has selected a side with some changes but nevertheless one which should do the job.

The half backs this week will be Pete White and Myles Dorrian with Ollie Dodge in for  Tom Griffiths in midfield.

Up front Sam James and Biyi Alo are in the front row while Josh Buggea replaces Nick Fenton-Wells  and Paul Tupai skippers as he comes in for Mark Flanagan.

Blues: 15. Steffan Jones 14. Sam Blanchet 13. Henry Staff 12. Ollie Dodge 11. Dean Adamson 10. Myles Dorrian 9. Pete White 1. Tom Williams 2. Sam James
3. Biyi Alo 4. Paul Tupai (c) 5. Harry Wells 6. Justin Blanchet 7. Josh Buggea 8. Joel Conlon

Reps: 16. Charlie Clare 17. Camilo Parilli-Ocampo 18. Hayden Thomson-Stringer 19. Nick Fenton-Wells 20. Jordan Burns 21. Jake Sharp 22. Michael LeBourgeois

Great to see Camilo back from injury, hopefully he'll get a run out. Blues win 32-19

The big games for us

Knights (21) v (17) Jersey
Welsh (20) v (18) Pirates
Ospreys (2) v (21) Yorkshire

We are on 19 points, so if Knights, Welsh & Yorkshire win, we'd need to beat Scarlets with bonus point by 38 points more than Welsh beat Pirates. Really we need one of them to lose to get to Top 4 with a win.

The words win and Bedford are not words I thought I would be saying this season - still can't believe it.

Third highest, surerly, thanks to losses for both Welsh and Donnie! Now that is a great result!

No at all certain, but I think that may mean Jersey at home.

Bit of a financial gamble for the club to flirt with losing to such a mediocre side. NFW was immense when he eventually got on, as was boog.

Great game - best moment of the match - Toops on the wing having given his all - good to know I am as quick as a Bedford winger - great win.

Me agreeing with BFY that's a rarity.......but Toops chasing after the ball from a kick forward by his team......a priceless
memory......there was no chance of success.....but it would have been a brave man to tell him he was wasting his time.......!

Amazing season thus far, who's have seen this coming? Not me. Fair play Mr rayer and I hear that a core of players are either on two year contracts or have resigned, so continuity

Totally agree LB who would have seen it coming? Not me, so it transpires that I have booked tickets for England v Wales on the same day as the quarter final. What a doughnut! Geoff, can you move it to Friday? Sky anything?

It was good to see Currie doing the water carrying as well. Alo and Boulton have covered him well. Alo is lasting a little longer on the pitch now as well!
