We must bottle whatever Rayer and Co. said in the Blues dressing room at 4.45 last Saturday. The team started the new season by blitzing Richmond in a first half which was one way traffic .
We raced to a 36-0 half time lead but amazingly could not add any more points in the second half with Richmond coming back with a try of their own.
A game of two halves - a contest where Blues showed their new attacking potential and then revealed defensive strength.
The first half tries came from a couple for Dean Adamson and others for Ben Cooper, Howard Packman and Tom Lindsay.
After last season's travails this was a welcome tonic.Too early to get excited but cannot wait for Svcttish to arrive next Saturday when we will get a truer picture of what may be in store for the Goldington Road faithful.
