Jordan Burns Starts

By Blues Ed
September 29 2017

An exotic trip this week with a Blues side anxious to come back with something against the Reds ..

There are four changes to the squad which has scored plenty of tries against tough opposition so it looks like being another cracker in Jersey.

Most of the changes are in the backs - Chris Czekaj, Rich Lane and Jordan Burns all start, while in the pack Ben Adams repalces  the unfortunate Justin Blanchet who broke his arm against Bristol last week.

Blues: 15. Chris Czekaj 14. Elliot Clements-HIll 13. Rich Lane 12. Michael Le Bourgeois (capt) 11. Dean Adamson 10. Harry Sheppard 9. Jordan Burns 1. Sean McCarthy 2. Tom Lindsay 3. Alex Penny 4. Ed Taylor 5. Will Carrick-Smith 6. Alex Rae 7. Ben Adams 8. Jarad Williams

Reps: George Edgson, Camilo Parilli-Ocampo,  Ben Cooper, Jordan Onojaife, Paul Tupai,  Lee Dickson, Ryan Hutler

A win is a win. Having said that it didn't sound like a very good game listening to radio Jersey, full of handling errors. Both sides, not just the Blues. Need to train hard this week and put in a good shift against Rotherham at GR this coming weekend.

We could have wrapped it up so earlier in the second half. Having Jersey on the back foot most of the time and with a potential try opportunity, we missed the kick to touch. Still a win when you are not firing on all four cylinders against a tough side can't be bad. ECH was followers MOM. Big turnout of Blues fans giving mega support. We must kill off Roth ruthlessly this week.

Blue Fox I agree with your comments about the Rotherham match, but surprisingly there are those on the Rolling Maul site forecasting we are going to come away without any points.........

Hi Compo, well they are a wounded animal and I am sure Mike will not let the blues get complacent. We have to be patient and ride out the early surge, then go for the jugular. Having experienced a defeat at Roth 2 seasons ago, under similar circumstances I take nothing for granted!

Seen many a defeat at Rotherham, no pressure on them, all on us. We need to be focused 100% on this or........No pressure, max points please and a decent display of entertaining rugby! Message ends.
