Not the prettiest of games but it was great to see rugby back at Goldington Road and even better to watch the Blues overcome a steadfast Hartpury College 33-25.

We started well with superb tries from Rich Lane, Joe Atkinson and James Fish and with that start you would have expected us to get a try bonus point. We were 30-13 ten minutes into the second half.

It wasn't to be as Hartpury got their maul going in the second half. If their kicker Josh Bragman had brought his boots it would have heaped more pressure on the Blues.

However, we held out with Will Maisey's 18 points keeping guiding us to a deserved win.
