Olowofela Try

Three yellow cards proved to be the big difference as Pirates came and snatched their first win of the season 25-20. At one point we had both tightheads in the bin which caused some discussion..

At times we looked like world beaters turning it on ten minutes before the break to score two tries.

The first came after Matthews slotted a pen. Reuben Bird-Tulloch opened things up from the restart and he had Ryan Olowofela on his shoulder to score.

That was quickly followed by a try for skipper Rich Lane after great work by Ewan Fenley and Matt Worlery who burst up the wing.

Unfortunately the Blues couldn't keep it up and the sides went in level at 17-17 after a successful driving maul from the Pirates.

The second half was much tighter with both sides slotting penalties beforee the clincher from Pirates - winger Darren Atkins confining the home side to a losing bonus point.

Sarries away is next in a fortnight's time.  Having watched England there's nothing to worry about .......
