This year hasn't started the way we would have liked. Two defeats leave us needing to beat Hartpury at Goldington Road this week if we are to return to the top half of the league.

The 22-19 defeat at Richmond was as close as it sounds. We had a chance in the closing minutes to win the game but the ball was knocked on and that just about summed up the afternoon.

The driving maul  was Richmond's main weapon and our  weakness but we did cross the whitewash three times through Tappers, Newman and Stedman.
