We have had to wait a few weeks but the first home game of 2023 looks ike it may be a belter. Games between Blues and Cornish Pirates always seem to be  high scoring and both are in fine form.

The first game at The Mennaye was an exceptional 41-21 win for the Blues and they go into the game off the back of wins against Ampthill and Scottish and in fourth place.

Pirates are in seventh, but also have good wins against Doncaster and Nottingham to boost their confidence so things are set up nicely for what will be another big crowd.

The tie-up with Saints means there are more comings and goings with two changes from last week. Ehren Painter has gone back so Corrie Barrett starts at tighthead and Ed Prowse is back from Saints and will be on the bench.

The other change sees Tom Litchfield start at outside centre.
