Isleworth on the other hand made the most of the ball when they had it and regularly took Quins on down the wings. Graham Coyle's defence at full back held Isleworthians off for a while, but eventually the try line beckoned and the away side took a score in the corner.
Moments later Quins were penalised for off-side allowing an 8 point lead. Quins finally got on the score sheet after 30 minutes, as James Loizos's boot converted a similar penalty, before the half time break allowed some tough talking from Quins' coach Duncan Simpson.
In the second half, Quins were rejuvenated and quickly made up for the first half performance with tough tackling and more purposeful running. First to benefit was Loizos, who found a gap in the Isleworth back-line and darted under the posts. The conversion duly followed.
Moments later Van Rensburg added a second as the Quins pack drove forward allowing the young South African to drop over the line. Dave Salomon followed his countryman over the try line five minutes later, after the flanker was asked to replace an injured Emett Murphy in the centres.
James Loizos's attempts at drop goals had fallen short in the first half, but in the second he managed to score the three points from around the 10m line, before Joe Hannaford sprinted down the wing to round off Quins scoring.
The final moments saw a return of the first half form for the away side, who trundled over for a try, but it wasn't enough to jeopardise the scoreline following a fantastic second half display from Harlequins.
Harlequin Amateurs are now seeking sponsors for next season as they begin their assault on the Hertfordshire & Middlesex 1 League.
If you are interested in being associated with Harlequins in the local community, and perhaps even having your name on the iconic quartered shirt, now is your chance.
