Event: City Scrum - Thursday 3 April 2008
By Prof March 27 2008
Harlequins and Norton Rose LLP Touch Rugby Tournament 2008 at the Honourable Artillery Company, Thursday 3 April 2008. Catch the rugby in the heart of the City: the first touch rugby tournament to take place in the Square Mile. Be warned. It could get personal!
Harlequins, in association with Norton Rose LLP, invite you to an afternoon of touch rugby at the Honourable Artillery Company. Teams from major City financial institutions will compete to win the City Scrum Cup, with the expert coaching of two Harlequins players dedicated to each team.

We believe this to be the first City-focused rugby tournament to take place in the square mile, and it should promise to be an action-packed afternoon.

Harlequins Chief Executive, Mark Evans is looking forward to the event:

'Harlequins have always had a strong association with the City of London, although with the need to develop a large and growing fan base we have broadened our appeal in recent years. Nevertheless there are still many connections between the Square Mile and the famous quartered shirt epitomised by our current relationship with Norton Rose LLP'

'I am sure this inaugural City Scrum Cup located in the heart of the City will be a really enjoyable yet competitive occasion and quickly develop into a highlight of the corporate sporting calendar.'
