Strip at The Stoop!
By Quins
May 25 2009
Harlequins and Cosmopolitan are on the hunt for men to help break a Guinness World Record®, all in the name of charity. Following on from Danny Care's appearance as the 'Naked Centrefold', Quins have teamed up with Cosmopolitan & are looking for men who'll pose in their underwear and help make history by attempting to break the Guinness World Record® for the largest gathering of men in pants.

The stunt is all in aid of the Everyman campaign (everyman-campaign.org), to help raise awareness of, and vital funds for, male cancer. Members of the Quins first team will be in attendance and giving their support to the record breaking attempt.

The record breaking attempt will take place at the home of Harlequins, the Twickenham Stoop, on 7th June. All men who take part will receive a complimentary pair of Ted Baker pants to wear on the day and keep.

To be part of the history, all men wishing to take part need to register their attendance at cosmopolitan.co.uk/worldrecord. They will then be directed to the donation page, where we are asking that every participant donates £5 to the Everyman campaign. The first 100 respondents will receive free Joop! Thrill fragrances for him and her.

Sports legends and rock stars alike (Lenny Kravitz, Matt Dawson, Martin Offiah, Danny Cipriani and Ian Wright, as well as our own Danny Care) have all previously stripped for Cosmopolitan for the very same cause. Help us to recruit London's men to do the same!

For more information, please click here. To register your interest, please go to cosmopolitan.co.uk/worldrecord

I want to register . . . but they don't don't seem to do "fat bloke sizes"!

Anyone know if they will have any bigger sizes or will I be able to wear my own pants?

Update.

I've now registered and the wife has bought me some new "big" pants. eye popping smiley

Well we broke the record.
It was originally 116. Today was, I believe, 146.

Large array of garrish Ted Baker underpants on show.

Photos I am sure coming...

It was indeed 146. I spoke to the man from Guinness who confirmed the figure.

What colour were you wearing and which letter were you sat on? I picked blue as it appeared to be a cold day and thought that it would match my skin!

Maybe next year we can have another attempt to break this record and after having to stare into the sun for the best part of an hour maybe we should raise funds for Guide Dogs for the Blind!!!

Congratulations on breaking the world record, to all who posed in their pants, it was a shame that the celebrity's late arrival was the cause of you sitting on wet grass and looking up to the skies for so long!!

What a great day, I was in green on the C.

I was worried that the pants would be a little small for a man of my girth, but they were very comfy. It was a laugh, and thanks to the organisers, and to the ladies (although I don't know any of you) who were there to cheer everyone on, even us bigger chaps.

I spent all Friday and Saturday at home practising!!

I am proud to have been a "man in pants".

Fuschia, I think they call it, for me.
48 seconds into the clip, top right, not paying (or standing) to attention...

Good cause warmly supported. In the cold.

Next year sholud be good, now we know the er, form...

It says something when the world record is 146...

...I'm pretty sure if somewhere like North Korea wanted the record, it would be 146,000...winking smiley

Come on, men of Britain! Don your pants! (not that I was there this time, mind you - previous engagement and all that...but with a bit more notice, I'd be happy to be there next time!)
