Well here we go with a brand new spanking season,  let's hope it will be a good one for Newcastle Falcons.  It looks like Nathan Earle represented the club in this picture?

The first match of the Premiership kicks off on Friday with Bristol vs Saracens 7.45 kick off Live on BT Sport 1. 

But the most important match of all is Newcastle Falcons taking on Championship Winners Harlequins Sunday 19th September 3pm off at Kingston Park.   Also Live on BT Sport 1.

Oh! it is so good to be back at Kingston Park, NO not for me watching on TV, I will be back in the stand and can't wait!   I am looking forward to seeing the teams in due course and enjoying the atmosphere.

Newsy Bits:-Also for our delight to ponder over there will be with a number of new player welfare driven initiatives and research projects, and a raft of new World Rugby law trials, more information on this can be found on the Premiership Rugby Site.

Of course we are all looking forward to Mike Brown running out against his old club and we welcome Mike to our fold, someone get him a Geordie Passport please.  But any sensible person would know Mike will also be looking to his future after his rugby playing days are over with us.  And I found this article extremely interesting and wish him luck with this
